Vodofone has been trialling it’s femtocell technology for some time now and finally made it available to Joe public, each station is priced at £160 without contract and supports up to 4 devices (3G handsets only).

Femtocell technology allows the use of home broadband powered 3G mini masts for areas with low to zero coverage.

Well I have returned from a fantastic break with the family and like most I decided to “relax” my usual sugar intake. Whilst away I sampled some of the local chocolate delicacies and fell in love with Milka Choco-Swing.

Nortel has laid off senior staff in the UK who were responsible for the company’s unified communications partnership with Microsoft, according to sources.

Nortel’s liquidation could cripple UC relationship with Microsoft

Those let go on Monday include John Mann, who led Nortel’s unified communications business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Sources say a handful of Mann’s colleagues also were swept up in the layoff.

Whenever I visit stateside technology stores I am always envious of compact plugs on US power supplies, the UK plug is a monster and more often than not shreds my compact bag to pieces!
