You may be wondering why this is such a significant piece of news? (or not if you are already in the know!)
Service Pack 3 for BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) v.5.0 delivers the highly anticipated BlackBerry device support for Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Lync Server 2010. Until now R2 access was delivered via a workaround, essentially R1 web access needed to be configured, and Lync support was completely unavailable.
