Over at the Microsoft Virtualisation Blog is an excellent entry explaining VHD support in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
As a result of customer and community moans the Exchange Team have lifted the lid on Exchange 2007 SP2 backup on Windows Server 2008, my personal view is that whilst this is likely to keep the SBS customers happy the larger enterprises will usually have a solution already in place i.e. DPM or Symantec Backup.

Office Communications Server 2007 R2 is now officially supported Virtually. However voice, video, live meeting and desktop sharing roles must still be run physically (and not on the Virtual hosts either!)

A couple of years back I attended the Microsoft Lead Enterprise Architects Program (LEAP), this comprised of 6 master classes of which one was at Redmond HQ. Whilst at Microsoft in Seattle we were invited to view the “Microsoft Home of the Future”, an almost Disney’esque theme park experience (quite ironic given that back in June last year this was launched at innoventions in Disneyland).
The tour was executed to perfection and thoroughly enjoyable, unfortunately until now you could only see it if you are invited or settled for the online pictures here. However the BBC has just posted a video online, to go and see it head here.
Mary-Jo Foley has just posted details on SharePoint 2010 that she has picked up on at TechEd, whilst it is only high level she does seem to believe that SharePoint is likely to be the Office component “tweaked the most“.

Wow, a couple of days back I blogged about existing DLNA functionality within Windows Media Player. Windows 7 really really extends these features – massively! Over at the Windows 7 Blog there is an article detailing new features and how it integrates with Windows Homegroup and the Internet!
Now I wonder if I add a TV tuner whether or not it will stream this too, hmmm?
